Autumn Exhibition

3rd October - 13th November 2022

In our Autumn exhibition, we are delighted to be showing for the first time the work of Jess Bugler. Apt at a time when we start to hunker down indoors that her body of work is entitled ‘Enclosure’. Her work includes prints and sculptures and explores the experience of containment and enclosure.

Also new to us as a visiting artist is Karen Williams of Adrift Pottery. Karen makes pieces to be used daily to eat and drink from.
She takes inspiration directly from nature and the stunning wild landscape and coast of Pembrokeshire.

We are happy to be showing the work of Charlie High and Stewart Roberts who have exhibited with us regularly over the years.

Charlie’s silver jewellery is a favourite with us as she is inspired by nature, either as the texture of natural objects or the patterns found in the natural world .

Stewart’s ‘junkies’ give a new life to junk condemned to the rubbish tip. Amazing that such discarded objects can be metamorphosed into a characterful bird or fish or boat or whatever Stewart ‘sees’ in the object.

We hope you will take the opportunity to visit us sometime throughout this exhibition and delight in the uniqueness of our visiting artists work.

Festival Exhibition

More of the natural world is represented in Tamsin Abbott’s stained glass, recently featured in Country file which showed where her sources of inspiration come from in the Herefordshire countryside.

From Somerset partners, Elizabeth Raeburn and Rodney Lawrence share a chapel and studio near Glastonbury. Elizabeth’s rare form of raku shows her mastery of the sophisticated firing techniques.

Rodney’s playful and humorous ceramics each tell a story on a whole range of plates, vases and bowls, in addition to his practical domestic ware.

Zsuzsi’s Morrison’s jewellery can be regarded as modern day talismans using enamelling techniques to achieve jewel like qualities.

Emma Kate Ochom’s unusual concept of slate covered sketch books with coptic bindings using her commitment to producing work with minimal environmental impact.
